About the Intensive
Burnout doesn't usually respond to insight alone. Clients may understand what's happening for them. They may even have tools to deal with it. But something can still keep them looping, caught between overwhelm, avoidance, and exhaustion.
When Clients Are Burned Out, Stuck, or Disengaged, What Actually Helps?
ACT offers a different way in. Instead of trying to eliminate distress, it helps clients change their relationship to it, so they can begin moving toward what matters, even when things feel hard.
In this two-day experiential intensive, you'll explore the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress.
Through supervised experiential practice, live demonstrations, and hands-on learning, you'll develop practical skills that you can bring directly into your clinical work.
01
Apply the ACT Model
Apply the ACT model to burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress.
04
Support Behavioral Change
Introduce behavioral change that feels possible rather than overwhelming.
What You’ll Learn
Practical Skills for Clinical Work
This intensive focuses on applying ACT processes in ways that are practical, flexible, and relevant to the challenges clients bring into the therapy room.
02
Work with Difficult Experiences
Help clients relate differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences.
05
Adapt ACT Processes
Adapt ACT processes across diverse populations and clinical circumstances.
03
Clarify Values
Use values as a stabilizing direction when motivation is low.
06
Translate Learning into Practice
Develop practical skills through guided exercises, live demonstrations, and applied learning.
Why This Training Works
Beyond the Lecture
Many workshops stay conceptual. You leave inspired, but unsure how to actually use the work in the room.
This intensive is built differently. You'll be practicing throughout, learning how to work directly with experiential avoidance and cognitive fusion, guide clients into present-moment awareness, clarify values, and support committed action.
The focus is on making ACT something you can put into practice, not simply something you understand in theory.

The Setting
A Different Kind of Training, in a Place That Changes How You See Things
Iceland is a unique destination. The scale of the land, the rawness of it, and the way it draws you out of your usual patterns create an experience unlike an ordinary professional training.
Held in downtown Reykjavík, the training places you just steps away from the city's vibrant culture, cafés, and restaurants, with extraordinary day trips into nature close at hand.
Travel just beyond the city and you'll find waterfalls, volcanic fields, black sand beaches, glaciers, and geothermal springs. If conditions align, you may also experience the Northern Lights moving overhead.
During this program, your days are intentionally structured to hold both depth and space. Mornings offer time for movement, rest, or exploration. Midday and afternoon sessions are devoted to training, practice, and integration. Evenings open into the city or the landscape just beyond it.
